If you can, take a side trip into Montana to see Devils Tower (Close Encounters of the 3rd kind) and get to the Badlands. Also, good drive through bear park near Rushmore and statue of Crazy Horse close to Rushmore. Deadwood South Dakota neat town and Corn Palace in Iowa.
